The purpose of the Whatcom Food Network is to build common understanding and facilitate collaborative efforts toward an equitable, sustainable, and healthy food system for all.

By being a part of this network, you play a role in realizing our purpose to:

• Increase communication, coordination, and collaboration among food system-related organizations, agencies, and institutions.
• Gain a collective understanding of the barriers and gaps in Whatcom County’s food system and develop common goals for addressing them.
• Build community capacity through education, leveraging resources, and mutual support.
• Work inclusively with the diverse communities of our region to ensure lasting success.

Member are invited to all forums and WFN events, invited to use the WFN Listserv, and are eligible to be considered for a seat on the Steering Committee.

The Whatcom Food Network Listserv is a great forum to communicate with other WFN members and individuals across all sectors of our local food system. We would like to invite you to use it so that you can easily share info, events, ideas, and opportunities. It’s a great way to get the word out.
